The Milan bourse closed 0.73% down
Friday with the FTSE-Mib index falling to 23,027 points after
opening up 0.98% and later posting a trading loss of 1.5% amid
the US-China trade stand-off that has seen US President Donald
Trump raise tariffs on Chinese goods to 145% and China respond
by raising tariffs on American products to 125%.
In New York the Dow Jones was 0.38% down, the Nasdaq 0.16% down
and the S&P 500 0.33% down.
London closed 0.64% up, Paris 0.3% down, Frankfurt 0.92% down
and Madrid 0.43% down.
The day was marked by highly volatile trading against the
backdrop of the trade war.
