On the occasion of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City, three representatives of Italian youth orchestras - Young Musicians European Orchestra of Ravenna, Orchestra Senza Spine of Bologna and Orchestra Giovanile Scarlatti of Naples - performed in a concert together with the Orchestra of the Opera Theatre, the Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera of Ho Chi Minh City (Hbso) entitled 'A Night of Italian Music', conducted by Maestro Matteo Parmeggiani.
The concert represented an opportunity for cultural exchange between Italy and Vietnam, enriching the musical landscape of the two nations. The three Italian youth orchestras brought to the stage classical Italian music pieces by Antonio Vivaldi, Giuseppe Verdi, Gioachino Rossini, and Giacomo Puccini. The collaboration with the Hbso Opera House Orchestra enabled not only a musical but also a cultural exchange, fostering dialogue between different musical traditions.
The concert closed a week full of activities, including the Masterclasses held by Maestro Paolo Olmi, both at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music and at the Vietnam National University - University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vnu-ussh) Department of Linguistics and Italian Literature in the city. This was the second edition of this initiative.
