Italian pop star Lorenzo Jovanotti
said Sunday that he needs surgery after breaking his collarbone
and his thigh bone in a cycling accident while on holiday in the
Dominican Republic.
In a series of videos posted on TikTok, the 56-year-old rapper
and singer-songwriter said his Italian doctor had seen the
X-rays and told him he needed a titanium implant.
He praised the treatment he received from Dominican paramedics,
saying they had been "exceptional".
"The pain is beastly," he added.
"The operation is quite complex.
"But I'll recover.
"It'll take time but I'm alive and I'm OK".
