Juventus started off their Serie A
campaign in style by beating Udinese 3-0 in Udine Sunday night.
The Turin giants are keen to post a title challenge this season
after their scudetto hopes were dashed by a 10-point penalty for
financial irregularities last term.
The goals came from Italy striker Federico Chiesa in the second
minute, Serbia centre forward Dusan Vlahovic from the penalty
spot in the 20th, and France midfielder Adrien Rabiot in the
third minute of first-half extra time.
In the other games, Roma drew 2-2 at home to Salernitana after
Italy and former Torino striker Andrea Belotti canceled out a
brace from veteran ex Italy, Inter and Lazio winger Antonio
Candreva; Atalanta beat Sassuolo 2-0 away; and Lazio lost 2-1 at
home to Lecce.
Torino host Cagliari and Milan entertain Bologna Monday night.
