Veteran TV presenter Carlo Conti said
Sunday that he will probably stay on as artistic director of the
Sanremo Festival next year after the 2025 edition of the annual
music jamboree and song contest, the 75th, was a big success
under him.
"This year was great, the watchword was together," Conti told a
news conference.
"We had fun together, we did it together. Let's see next year if
I get an idea, but I think so.
"The company (State broadcaster Rai) have asked me to have fun
for two years at the festival.
"I have accepted.
"I will decide what to do along the way.
"Organizing the Festival is not just about presenting it, which,
in the end, is the easiest thing.
"It is also about organisation, artistic direction, the choice
of set, lights and clothes.
"If my work serves to help some members of new generation in the
future, we will see if I can help".
Florence-born Conti, 63, ran the show for the fourth time this
year after presenting previous editions in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
He took over from Ravenna-born Amadeus, 61, who stepped down
after five highly successful editions
Rai Pubblicità CEO Luca Poggi said Sunday that the 2025 Sanremo
generated a record 65.258 million euros in advertising revenue
for the State broadcaster, up 8.5% on the previous high set last
year.
