Empoli have qualified for the Italian
Cup semifinals for the first time in their history after beating
Juventus 5-3 on penalties Wednesday night.
Empoli will face Bologna in the two-legged semifinal next month.
Bologna beat Atalanta earlier this month to reach the final four
for the first time in 26 years.
The other semifinal will see Inter play against city rivals
Milan.
