Friday's closure of London's Heathrow
airport is affecting at least 11,000 Italian passengers, claim
company ItaliaRimborso told ANSA.
It said 56 of the 1,350 flights cancelled after the airport
suffered a power outage due to a fire at an electricity
substation were to or from Italy.
It said these regarded connections to Naples, Rome Fiumicino,
Florence, Bologna, Venice, and Milan's Linate and Malpensa
airports.
It said that the disruption endured by passengers needing
connecting flights from London to reach destinations in Asia and
North American was on top of this.
