Formula One great Lewis Hamilton on
Saturday won the sprint race of the Chinese Grand Prix on the
Shanghai circuit, his first victory with Ferrari.
Second place went to Mclaren's Oscar Piastri and third to
four-time and reigning Red Bull champ Max Verstappen.
Charles Leclerc in the other Ferrari was fifth.
Hamilton later came fifth in qualifying for Sunday's Grand Prix.
Piastri claimed pole with George Russell in a Mercedes second,
Mclaren's Lando Norris third and Verstappen fourth. Leclerc was
sixth.
"I could have been a couple of tenths higher, but I struggled a
lot to find the balance of the car this afternoon", seven-time
champ Hamilton told Sky about his fifth time in qualifying for
the Chinese Grand Prix after his victory in the Sprint race, his
first in the colours of Ferrari.
"What has changed compared to yesterday? All the others have
improved. We made a couple of changes, some small adjustments to
the car, but in the end we had a lot more oversteer", he added.
