The operating room of the private
medical practice in Rome where Simonetta Kalfus underwent
liposuction, dying after 12 days of agony, has been seized by
the Carabinieri, police said Thursday.
Checks will be carried out to acquire elements useful for the
investigation and to establish whether everything was done
according to the rules.
The checks began this morning at the order of the Prosecutor's
Office.
The surgeon who operated on Simonetta was also present in the
practice today, and has now ended up in the register of
suspects. In recent days, the Carabinieri have acquired the
woman's medical records and health documentation.
