Italy and its allies are engaged in a
hybrid war from which they must protect themselves, Defence
Minister Guido Crosetto said Monday saying he was not
"convinced" by the ReArm Europe slogan.
"It is no coincidence that when I talk, to the point of
exhaustion, of the need to 'defend' our country, the communities
to which we belong and the alliances to which we belong, I also
say that I am not convinced by the term 'rearmament' and the
slogan 'Rearm Europe'," he said on X.
"And I say this precisely because our defense and our security,
national and collective, must be guaranteed on multiple levels,
including those of 'hybrid war' and not just the traditional
ones, which remain the most evident before everyone's eyes.
"A hybrid war is underway. Dangerous as it is underground,
constant and suffocating as it is daily".
