Italy will have an important role in
the reconstruction of Ukraine after the Russian war, a senior US
official said in a call on Premier Giorgia Meloni's visit to the
White House Thursday for talks with United States President
Donald Trump.
"Our two countries will continue to work together to end the war
in Ukraine," the official said.
"Italy will have an important role in the reconstruction, but,
like other allies, it will have to fulfill its responsibilities
for Europe's security in order to maintain peace":
