Donald Trump said Thursday he had
never called Europeans freeloaders, a term used by his Vice
President JD Vance.
Trump denied calling Europeans "freeloaders" as suggested by an
Italian journalist in the Oval Office. Prime Minister Giorgia
Meloni also denied that the president ever used that term.
In fact, the word had been used by JD Vance and Pete Hegseth and
Trump had said they agreed.
