Cardinals will help each other out
with languages in the conclave starting Wednesday to elect Pope
Francis's successor, Vatican spokesman Matteo Bruni told the
press Friday noting that there were some cardinals who do not
speak Italian.
"I think that the cardinals can help each other out," said the
director of the Vatican press office, explaining that there will
be no professional interpreters in the Sistine Chapel while
there is simultaneous translation into six or seven languages in
the pre-conclave general congregations.
