Poste Italiane closed 2023 with
revenues up 5.4% to 12 billion euro, net profit up 22.1% to 1.9
billion euro and record earnings before interest and taxes
(Ebit) of 2.62 billion euro (+9.4% over 2022), according to
preliminary results posted on Thursday.
The growth in revenues was due in part to "solid contributions
from payments and financial services", said the postal,
financial and telecommunications services company.
Ebit was more than double the level in 2027 and in line with the
2023 guidance of 2.6 billion euro
In the mail, parcels and distribution business unit revenues
were up 2.6% to 3.7 billion euro.
In light of the results, the group has proposed a dividend
increase to 0.80 euro per share to a total of 1 billion euro, up
23% on 2022.
