Ferrovie dello Stato (FS) rail group
on Thursday reported revenues sharply up at 16.5 billion euros
in 2024.
The board of directors approved the accounts as of 31 December
2024 of the FS group which highlight operating revenues in
strong growth to 16.5 billion and technical investments to 17.6
billion (they were 16 billion in 2023), which represents "the
best result ever", the group underlines.
In particular, operating revenues were driven by the operating
performance of the passenger transport business.
The EBITDA is approximately 2.2 billion euros (+1%) in line with
2023 confirming the solidity of the group's operating results
while the EBIT stands at 343 million euros (+1.5%).
