A doctor who is a ward chief in
Piacenza was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of sexually
assaulting nearly all the female doctors and nurses he came into
contact with.
Police set up spy cams in his office at Piacenza hospital and
his home and recorded 32 incidents over the space of 45 days,
they said.
"Basically, the ward chief performed sexual acts with almost
every woman who walked through the door of his office alone,"
the police wrote in their arrest warrant.
They said their probe had been obstructd by a climate of omertà
(mafia like conspiracy of silence) surrounding the hospital
department.
