Three Italian films will compete for
the Palme d'Or (Golden Palm) for best film at this year's Cannes
Film Festival, organisers said on Thursday.
The films are Nanni Moretti's Il sol dell'avvenire, Alice
Rohrwacher's La Chimera, and Marco Bellocchio's Rapito, said
General Delegate Thierry Fremaux.
The 76th edition of the prestigious film festival will take
place in the French Riviera town from May 16-27.
