Mongolia's Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, Mrs.

Nomin Chinbat, received Amb.

Giovanna Piccarreta. In addition to sharing their mutual satisfaction for the rich cultural programme of the last few months, the result of fruitful cooperation in this field between the two countries (most recently the first exhibition dedicated to Marco Polo in Mongolia, at the Genghis Khan Museum), the main subject of the meeting was the planning for the coming months.
On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Italy and Mongolia in 2025, the expectation was shared to organise two major exhibitions in Mongolia and Italy, highlighting the main classical artists of the respective countries.
In addition, the importance of the Venice Biennial, in which Mongolia has been participating for years with its own National Pavilion, the hope of a visit by its President, and the importance of contemporary art were discussed, a theme that could be more fully reflected on the occasion of the renewal of the Executive Protocol of cultural cooperation between Italy and Mongolia.
