The excellent level of bilateral cooperation between Italy and North Macedonia in the defence sector was confirmed at the meeting between North Macedonia Defence Minister Vlado Misajlovski and Italian Ambassador Paolo Palminteri, who was accompanied on the occasion by Defence Attaché Colonel Cristian Margheriti.
Testifying to the close partnership between the two countries," the Embassy reported in a note, "are the numerous projects and initiatives implemented not only within the framework of institutional collaboration, but also in the framework of the Atlantic Alliance and in the theatres where the Armed Forces of the two countries work in synergy, such as the KFOR mission in Kosovo. Ambassador Palminteri called for a profiled role of the Italian defence industry in the modernisation process of the Armed Forces of North Macedonia.
