The ship Amerigo Vespucci arrived in the port of Aqaba. Here, amidst intersecting trade and cultural routes, the ship and its crew received a welcome that reflects the value of cooperation between countries. She was welcomed by the Italian ambassador in Amman Luciano Pezzotti and the honorary consul of Aqaba Ali Khater, together with, among others, the commander of the Royal Jordanian Naval Force and the governor of Aqaba.
The Jordanian port is the last non-Mediterranean stop for Nave Vespucci, whose world tour is drawing to a close after more than a year and a half of sailing. In a few days the Navy training ship will cross the Suez Canal and then stop in Alexandria, Egypt.
