The Italian Ambassador to Accra, Laura Ranalli, received Professor Gianni Pezzoli, director of the Parkinson's and Parkinsonism Centre at the G.Pini Hospital in Milan, who, with his team of neurologists, has been carrying out a research and assistance project in Ghana for years. The study also concerns the use of powder extracted from the tropical plant Mucuna pruriens to treat Parkinson's patients. The team of Italian neurologists collaborates with the non-profit organisation Comboni Centre in Sogakofe.
