The Day of Italian Design in the World, now in its 9th edition, is dedicated to the theme 'Inequalities. How to recompose the fractures of humanity. 2025 also marks the 10th anniversary of Expo Milano 2015, dedicated to the theme 'Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life'. The themes of energy and nutrition are extremely interconnected, and are linked to our relationship with the planet's resources, their unbalanced distribution and alternative models of sharing.
In Vienna this evening at 6.30 p.m. there will be a debate at the Italian Cultural Institute, with Francesco Fresa and Michael Obrist, respectively co-founder of the PiuArch studio in Milan and partner of the feld72 studio, who will discuss questions such as: ten years on, have we made progress in our use of energy and nutrition? How can architecture and design help us improve it?
The Day of Italian Design in the World is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale. The event is realised in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Vienna and the Vienna ICE Agency.
