sPAZIO-D (DNA MADE IN ITALY)', the approximately 130-metre area adjacent to the Italian Cultural Institute of Almaty, conceived and managed by the Embassy of Asthana together with the Italian Cultural Institute and with the support of Ice and dedicated to Italian design, hosted its first promotional module, articulated in three separate events with three installations related to the participating companies.
The first addressed business in a cultural key, with the presentation of three Italian brands: Cerasa, Graniti Fiandre and Stella Rubinetterie in the presence of around 100 interior designers, selected together with Ice. Speakers included architect Marco Poletti, in collaboration with Aziz Abdulmazhitov - Art Guild and Graniti Fiandre; Monica De Riz, Export Sales Director for Cerasa, the bathroom furnishing sector; Andrei Gringiuk, for Graniti Fiandre, a manufacturer of high-end full-body porcelain stoneware; and Rocco Ubertini, foreign sales manager for Stella Rubinetterie, the oldest Italian tap manufacturer founded in 1882.
The second event saw the participation of both companies and interior designers in a meeting dedicated to new collaborations; a masterclass 'Bathroom Trends 2025: creative ideas', held by architects Domenico Rotolo and Marco Poletti, in the presence of professor Giangabriele Fini and about 80 university students of architecture and design.
During the last event, Ms. Gala Makeyeva illustrated to an audience of designers and university students the three installations set up in the Spazio-D.
