The Mayor of Gorizia Rodolfo Ziberna and the Italian Ambassador to Romania Alfredo Durante Mangoni carried out a mission to Timișoara on 12 and 13 March, accompanied by the First Commercial Secretary, Federico Mozzi, and the Honorary Consul, Angela Pesavento. The initiative, organised in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania, offered an important opportunity to consolidate bilateral relations and strengthen economic and cultural ties with the capital of Banat. In this context - the Embassy reported in a note - an official meeting was held on 13 March between the Mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, and the Mayor of Gorizia to share the path of the two European Capitals of Culture and discuss possible forms of cooperation between the two cities in terms of sustainable promotion of culture and tourism
