The Italian Ambassador to Angola, Marco Ricci, met an Intercampus delegation in Luanda, led by the Country Manager, Massimo Seregni, and witnessed the activities of the children - aged between 6 and 13 - involved in the project.
Inter Campus Angola was established in 2008 in collaboration with 'Polideportivo Don Bosco' of the Salesian Fathers with the aim of giving young people from communities in difficulty the opportunity to grow, have fun and learn through sports, thus helping to remove them from street crime and child prostitution. Today, the initiative counts about a thousand children between Luanda and the neighbouring provinces and represents a concrete example of how sport can become a tool for change, not only for physical wellbeing, but also for emotional and social wellbeing, favouring the construction of a stronger and more cohesive community, also through the involvement of the children's families in the pedagogical-educational activity.
