The Italian ambassador to Tunisia, Alessandro Prunas, visited Italian Cooperation projects in Tataouine, in the south of the country. This was written on X by the Italian Embassy in Tunis, specifying that the focus of the mission was the Rinova programme: an integrated development initiative that combines heritage enhancement, support for the local economy, environmental sustainability and training.
"Development cooperation is a pillar of the partnership between Italy and Tunisia. Within the framework of the Mattei Plan, we are engaged throughout Tunisia, in close cooperation with the local authorities, to create concrete opportunities for the benefit of the people," wrote the ambassador, who also met the governor of Tataouine, Amir Guebsi, with whom he had an "in-depth exchange on the programmes underway and the prospects for future cooperation for the sustainable development of the territory. I am very grateful to the governor. Guebsi for his warm welcome and for the determination with which he accompanies the cooperation with Italy. Determination that I found in all the partners I met during this important visit'. The Italy-Tunisia friendship is stronger than ever!" concluded the ambassador.
