Kosovo's President Vjosa Osmani today received Italy's Ambassador Antonello De Riu, who has reached the end of his term of office, in a farewell visit. Osmani, the Presidency in Pristina reported in a statement, said that Italy's support remains essential for Kosovo on its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
"She stressed the need for Italy's engagement as a strategic partner, especially in strengthening Kosovo's position on the international stage," the communiqué read
President Osmani thanked Ambassador De Riu for his valuable contribution during his tenure in Kosovo and expressed deep appreciation for his commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries. She wished him success in his future diplomatic engagements, emphasising that the friendship and partnership between Kosovo and Italy will always remain stable and based on shared values.
