Presenting to the Czech Republic the Italy that creates, produces and builds the future by tracing new paths with ingenuity and passion, this was the spirit with which the Italian Embassy in Prague organised the event celebrating Made in Italy Day in its historic headquarters, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, the Ice Agency and the Italian-Czech Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Camic).
As a symbol of Italian creativity over time, an exhibition of ten vintage Vespa models was set up in the Embassy Stables, while a Maserati Quattroporte SQ4, a 12-cylinder Ferrari, a Lancia Lambda from the early decades of the 20th century, a Fiat 600, a Ducati Panigale V2, a Moto Guzzi Stelvio and a Vespa 946 were displayed in the courtyard.
The event was opened by Ambassador Mauro Marsili, who emphasised quality, style, design and the combination of innovation and tradition as the main characteristics of Made in Italy.
Made in Italy Day was established by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy through Law No. 206/2023, choosing 15 April, the anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci's birth, as the date. The initiative aims to promote 'Made in Italy' as a symbol of creativity, excellence and value, recognising its role in the economic and cultural development of the country and encouraging new generations to value craft and creative professions.
