Fiorentina rose to fifth place in
Serie A after beating bottom side Salernitana 3-0 at the Artemio
Franchi in Florence Sunday.
The Viola are now on 23 points, one point behind fourth-placed
and reigning champions Napoli in fourth, and below Milan on 29,
Inter on 32, and Juve on 33 ahead of Sunday night's big match
between Napoli and Inter at the Maradona.
The goals came from 22-year-old Argentine forward Lucas Beltrán
from the penalty spot in the sixth minute, 24-year-old Italian
winger Riccardo Sottil in the 17th, and 34-year-old midfielder
Giacomo "Jack" Bonaventura, who recently earned an Italy recall,
in the 56th.
Salernitana remain stuck to the bottom on eight points, two
points behind Verona and Cagliari.
