Spanish prosecutors said on Wednesday
that they have requested a jail term of four years, nine months
for Real Madrid's Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti for alleged tax
fraud.
The case regards allegations that the former AC Milan, Chelsea,
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-German boss failed to pay to the
Spanish inland revenue over one million euros related to
earnings from image rights in 2014 and 2015.
The 64-year-old was sent to trial in relation to the case in
July.
Widely regarded one of the greatest soccer coaches of all time,
he has won, among many other trophies, the Champions League a
record four times as a manager, twice with AC Milan and twice
with Real Madrid.
He is currently in his second stint in charge of the Spanish
giants, after being on their bench between 2013 and 2015.
