Italy's Alessandra Fanali on Sunday
same second pin the Ford Women's New South W ales Open which was
won by Englishwoman Mimi Rhodes with a score of 267 (68 62 68
69, -17) shots.
In Wollongong the Italian was in the running for the title until
the last hole when she missed the fairway with her drive, took a
penalty and found a bogey that took away her last hopes of
celebrating her first career success on the Ladies European
Tour.
With a total of 269 (69 66 64 70, -15) she finished the
tournament on par with Australian Kirsten Rudgeley. Still runner
up, as in 2024 in the Kenya Ladies Open, was Fanali, who last
year participated in the Paris Olympics, in the last round with
a 70 (-1) made three birdies, with two bogeys.
Anna Zanusso instead ranked 22nd, with 279 (73 67 70 69, -5).
