The government is thinking of setting
up a migrant centre at Ventimiglia, the town on the French
border where migrants gather before attempting to cross into
France, Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi said Wednesday.
"Ventimiglia has always suffered, it suffers from the transit of
migrants," he said on Cinque Minuti on Raiuno.
"We are cooperating with France for the control of that border
and it is one of those places to which we are devoting attention
for the construction of one of those structures that we are
planning to dedicate precisely to contain the phenomenon".
