Eurostat confirmed in its mid-month estimate that inflation in the Eurozone increased to 2.4% in December, up from 2.2% in November.
In the EU, it went up from 2.5% to 2.7%.
Individual country data confirms that
Ireland (1%), Italy (1.4%), Luxembourg, Finland, and Sweden (all
1.6%) have the lowest rates, while Romania (5.5%), Hungary
(4.8%), and Croatia (4.5%) have the highest.
