A 50-year-old Filipino man was
stabbed to death in a Rome street on Sunday evening.
The deadly attack took place in via Anastasio II, not far form
the Valle Aurelia metro stop.
The man was assaulted by a group of people for reasons that have
yet to be clarified.
One of the group who fought with the man pulled out a knife and
stabbed him, police said.
He died of his injuries shortly afterwards.
Police are scanning CCTV coverage of the area.
An autopsy has been ordered.
The Italian capital has seen a spate of stabbings recently.
