State broadcaster Rai's new CEO
Roberto Sergio's said on Thursday he was "sincerely sorry" about
the former president and journalist presenter Lucia Annunziata's
decision to quit.
Sergio said his first act on the board of directors had been "to
give the go-ahead to a small number of productions for the
coming autumn season, including 'In mezz'ora'," the political
talk show hosted by Annunziata.
The CEO said he hoped the journalist might "complete the cycle
of broadcasts and that there might be further opportunities for
meetings".
