Inter consolidated their position at
the top of Serie A on Saturday, coming from behind to claim a
statement 4-2 win at AS Roma.
Simone Inzaghi's side took the lead early on thanks to Francesco
Acerbi's header but the hosts came back strongly and led at
half-time thanks to goals by Gianluca Mancini and Stephan El
Shaarawy.
But Marcus Thuram levelled soon after the break and his presence
led Roma defender Angelino to deflect a cross into his own net
soon after.
Defender Alessandro Bastoni sealed the win for the visitors in
stoppage time in Roma's first defeat since Daniele De Rossi
replaced Jose Mourinho as coach last month.
Inter lead with 60 points from 23 games, seven points more thank
second-placed Juventus, who take on Udinese in Turin on Monday.
Roma are fifth with 38 points ahead of the rest of the weekend's
fixtures.
