Pope Francis has suffered no further
respiratory crises as he battles pneumonia in a Rome hospital
but his prognosis remains guarded, the Vatican said Wednesday.
"Today's blood tests and haematocytometric tests" "confirmed
yesterday's improvement" explains the medical bulletin released
this evening on the conditions of the Pope hospitalized at
Gemelli.
The Holy Father, the note continues, "continues high-flow oxygen
therapy; today too he did not present asthmatic respiratory
crises. Respiratory physiotherapy continues".
"Despite registering a slight improvement, the prognosis remains
reserved", is further explained in the bulletin which adds that
"during the morning the Holy Father received the Eucharist. The
afternoon was dedicated to work activities".
