King Charles and Queen Camilla of
Britain on Tuesday visited the Colosseum in Rome as part of
their four-day state visit to Italy.
The British royals were welcomed by Culture Minister Alessandro
Giuli and the director of the Colosseum Archaeological Park
Alfonsina Russo who accompanied them to the Temple of Venus,
from where there is a magnificent view of the Flavian
amphitheater.
From there Charles and Camilla greeted the crowds. With them
were Deputy Labour Minister Maria Teresa Bellucci and British
Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
