The IMF said Tuesday that it has cut
its 2025 GDP growth forecast for Italy to 0.4%, down 0.3 of a
percentage point on the estimate it made in January.
It said it reduced the growth forecast for 2026 by 0.1 of a
point to 0.8%.
The Fund cut its GDP forecast for almost all countries due to
the uncertainty over tariffs.
The estimates for Germany were reduced to zero growth for this
year and 0.9% in 2026, with the French economy expected to grow
0.6 % in 2025 and 1.0% in 2026.
The Fund sees the UK's GDP rising 1.1% this year and 1.4% in
2026.
