Some 100,000 faithful were heading
for St Peter's Basilica where late pope Francis's body was lying
in state Wednesday, police said.
St. Peter's Square continues to fill up minute by minute with
the influx of faithful from Via della Conciliazione and other
nearby streets heading to the basilica for the last homage to
Francis. According to informal estimates by the security service
in the square at the moment there are no more than 100 thousand
people.
