Italy backs Egypt's plan for Gaza,
Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said when asked about Israel's
plan to conquer the Strip Tuesday.
On Gaza "we always have the same position: we support the
Egyptian project approved by the Arab countries, it is the
project in which we recognize ourselves", said Tajani commenting
on the Israeli plan to "conquer" and "occupy" territories in
Gaza. The Egyptian plan provides for the reconstruction of the
Strip excluding the displacement of the Palestinian population.
