A restaurant on the Tuscan coast near
Lucca apologised on Saturday for an incident last week in which
a doorman barred entry to amputee soccer national team member
Paolo Capasso saying he might fall over on his crutches
suffering injuries which the establishment would have to pay
for.
The eatery at Marina di Pietrasanta also said it would hold
course to raise awareness of the needs of amputees and why they
should not be discriminated against, the local disability
advocacy group Luccasenzabarriere (LuccaWithoutBarriers) said.
They have invited Capasso back for a free slap-up meal.
