Italian singer Andrea Bocelli is to
sing at the coronation party of Britain's King Charles III one
day after he is crowned, on Sunday May 7, sources said Friday
night.
The 64-year-old blind tenor from the province of Pisa and
international superstar will be the only Italian performer on
the night.
"It's a great honour," said Bocelli, who sang at Charles' late
mother Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee.
After singing for several American president including Bush,
Obama, and Biden, three popes, at the Olympic opening ceremony
and the gootball World Cup, the Italian tenor will duet with
baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, his longtime friend.
Other performers will include Take That, Lionel Richie and Katy
Perry.
