Tomorrow sees the opening in New Delhi of the three-day India Space Congress, an event organised by Satcom Industry Association India, which will be attended by politicians, representatives of aerospace agencies from different countries, and various operators and entrepreneurs.
Italy, one of the 'partner countries' of the event, will participate by promoting Italian proposals in the field of aerospace, in all its declinations, from research to space exploration to the space economy. Thanks to the Ice Agency, an 'Italy Space' will be set up within the event, which will welcome visitors interested in the proposals of our industrial system.
At the invitation of Isro President S. Somanath, Asi President Teodoro Valente will hold a keynote at the Space Congress to illustrate the level of collaboration achieved between the two space agencies. Sergio Ledda, Scientific Attaché at the Italian Embassy in New Delhi, will present the most relevant actions in the field of research, with particular reference to Italy's bid to locate the Einstein Telescope in Sardinia, for the detection of gravitational waves. Antonietta Baccanari, Director of the Ice Agency Office in New Delhi will illustrate the Italian industrial system in the field of aerospace and the opportunities for collaboration with the Indian ecosystem. Finally, the Managing Director of Leonardo in Aerospace in India, Roberto Domenici, and, for Elt Group, Roberto Simonetti Spallotta and Francesco Muolo, will speak about our business system.
As emerged in the meetings over the last two years between Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who expressed their willingness to consolidate and implement it, collaboration in the space sector is one of the pillars of the strategic partnership between Italy and India.
