Yesterday evening, the Residence of the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, hosted the screening of the docu-film 'Before the Game', directed by director Daniele Carboni, which told the story of the life of the famous Serbian basketball coach Zeljko Zecevic, who also boasts a long experience in Italy.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Novak Djokovic Foundation as part of the 'Path of a Champion' project, which aims to promote parents' awareness in accompanying their children's sports development. It was precisely to this theme that the round table that followed the screening was also dedicated, animated by the film's protagonist Zeljko Zecevic and another well-known Serbian basketball coach, Marin Sedlacek.
"The Novak Djokovic Foundation is an important partner that has been working for years to promote, through numerous projects dedicated to young people, the values that underpin every sporting competition and the importance of a healthy approach to sport on the part of young athletes and their families," said Ambassador Gori. "Italy fully shares these values," he added, "which we will celebrate again in the autumn during the Day of Italian Sport in the World".
