The Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Luca Gori, was received today by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali. The meeting focused on the strengthening of economic relations between Rome and Belgrade, in particular through the financial instruments of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Sace and Simest, and on the projects and further business cooperation that will be launched in the coming months, also in view of the bilateral summit in January.
"Serbia today boasts an expanding economy, which last October obtained for the first time the upgrade of its government rating to investment grade by the Standard & Poor's agency. That is why we are convinced that this country represents an opportunity for our investors, also in view of the Expo that will be hosted in Belgrade in 2027," said Ambassador Gori. "We believe in Serbia's economic capabilities," added Gori, "as demonstrated by the 3 bilateral Business Forums organised in the last two years and the important financial instruments put in place by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Sace and Simest. We are working to promote further initiatives also in view of the next bilateral summit'.
