The Italian Embassy in Kosovo celebrated the 9th edition of Italian Design Day today at the UBT College with a conference aimed at architecture and design students and professionals. To discuss with them the theme of this year's event - "Inequalities. Design for a better life' - was addressed by architect and designer Alessandro Mason, founder of Studio GISTO, whose projects are characterised by an approach focused on sustainable materials, circular development processes and social welfare.
Ambassador Antonello De Riu wished to highlight the desire to "foster a constructive dialogue between institutions, the private sector and the academic community, generating innovative solutions that contribute to a fairer and more sustainable future". The Ambassador also emphasised how "the event is an opportunity for discussion and mutual growth, aiming to consolidate collaboration networks that combine culture, innovation and social responsibility".
"This approach," De Riu noted, "not only enriches the cultural and social fabric, but also offers new market prospects, positioning design as a bridge between creativity and sustainable economic development.
