A 13-year-old boy who suffered gunshot
injuries to the head at his Rome home on Saturday night died at
the city's San Camillo hospital early on Monday, sources said.
Police are investigating the child's death. It is suspected that
he accidentally shot himself.
The gun belongs to the dead boy's brother, who had a permit to
use it for sporting purposes, the sources said.
The boy was at home with his father at the time of the shooting,
but the man was in another room when the gun went off, according
to the sources.
