A trip to Rome by United States
President Donald Trump to attend Pope Francis's funeral cannot
be ruled out but for the moment it is not planned, the White
House said Monday.
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said that "at the
moment" no trip by President Donald Trump to attend the funeral
of Pope Francis is planned, but she did not rule it out.
"This does not mean that the trip will not take place," she
said.
President George W. Bush attended the funeral of John Paul II.
"We pray for the millions of Christians around the world who
loved and admired the Pope," Leavitt told reporters at the White
House.
