Italy's premier merchant bank
Mediobanca on Monday posted six month profits up 8% to a record
660 million euros.
The Milanese investment bank, currently the subject of a
takeover bid by Italy's third largest bank Monte dei Paschi di
Siena, posted earnings up 75% to 1.848 billion euros.
The bank raised its targets for 2026.
